Little does Brendan know that stopping the witch is only the beginning…

When a mad witch with a magically crafted and frightfully powerful Obsidian Dagger threatens to obliterate humanity and overtake the magic clans of the Celtic Isles, destiny forces 17-year-old American, Brendan O’Neal, and his younger sister, Lizzie, to intervene. Joining the desperate princess of the Leprechauns, Dorian, and her two loyal companions, Rory and Biddy, they embark on a dangerous and wondrous adventure across Ireland and Scotland to thwart the witch and save mankind.

Battling the witch’s mutated forces of magical beings, the heroic band will have to reach deeper into themselves than they ever thought possible to find the strength, courage, and will to see their quest through to the end. Brendan will soon learn that the lines between reality, mythology, and divinity are more blurred than he ever imagined.

The Obsidian Dagger is a dazzling, magical, incredible novel that captivated me throughout… from the very first sentence to the very last sentence. It is an incredible, fun piece of literature that is highly imaginative and descriptive, it is a novel that I would recommend to anybody as it is a novel that will cater to everybody’s reading needs; it is an exciting, captivating read and it demands to be read for all ages!

The Obsidian Dagger has an incredible, compelling plot with family at the heart of it. The novel begins with the father needing to do some family research in Ireland and how he decides to take his two children with him, besides, if he does this he can just call it a vacation! I have to already mention that I adored how this wonderful novel whisked the reader away to Ireland early on, I am half Irish so I adore reading about the beautiful places they have there so already I fell in love with this brilliant novel!

The novel soon follows Brendan and his sister Lizzie as they find themselves making friends with somebody called Dorian. Dorian has royal blood and when Dorian’s father the king of Leprechauns is kidnapped by a witch, Brendan soon decides to help and this is all I am going to say about this brilliant novel! The plot of this book is so thrilling that I do not want to spoil it for you lovely readers!

The story of The Obsidian Dagger is a story that is guarenteed to capture your imaginiation thanks to the many creatures we encounter on our journey as well as the many intirguing, wonderous places we travel too. The characters we encounter in The Obsidian Dagger are magnificent and they make the story even more incredible, they are the type of characters that the reader can easily invest themselves in, the type of characters that you can root for and lastly they are the type of characters that you want to see grow as a human being and I am excited to see the characters grow throughout the series. This book has an almost Harry Potter feel to it because of this very fact! One thing I adored about this wonderous novel was the Celtic connections, I myself have Celtic blood so reading about a topic that I find to be intriguing as well as fascinating meant that I was enthralled from beginning to end and this is all thanks to the novels incredible author Brad A. LaMar.

The author of the novel Brad A. LaMar is an intriguing writer that enthralled me with his words from beginning to end, as well as this his writing was both thrilling and captivating. I adored how his novel featured heavily on an evil, disturbed witch; it made for a fun, exciting adventure that is unforgettable.

To conclude my thoughts on The Obsidian Dagger I would say if you adore any kind of mythology or anything to do with Ireland as well as fantasy and adventure then you will adore and fall madly in love with this brilliant, gripping story! This wondrous story gets Five Stars from me!
