Ethan Hunter has been misunderstood his entire life. A brilliant paleontologist with a genius I.Q., he resides alone in his fossil excavation pit, a willing slave to his research. As the years’ pass, he slowly loses all traces of his humanity.
When a powerful enemy invades his domain and takes Ethan captive, Ethan suffers a traumatic injury that nearly kills him. Struggling to accept his new handicap, he is forced to reassess who he truly is underneath the façade he’s hidden behind for so many years.
Maddy Carlson is a medical doctor who can’t ignore an injured person—even if he is an asshole. She saves Ethan’s life, knowing full well that her decision to help him puts her in serious danger. But she would do it again if she had to. Because Ethan just gets to her, and he always has.
Danger drives them closer, and love unexpectedly blooms. Maddy urges Ethan to see the man he can be and makes him long for a life he never thought possible.
The fate of Africa rests on Ethan’s shoulders. But he is reluctant to face all the people he’s wronged. Will they forgive him? Can he somehow make amends?
The drifters are out of control. The volcano is unstable. And Ronin is still determined to rule.
Will Ethan—for once in his life—do the right thing?
Unseen is the conclusion to a wonderful series that I have fallen completely in love with. This exceptional series begins with Exiled and is followed by Drifter; these two novels floored me, they also entertained me from beginning to end thanks to the intriguing plot, brilliant writing, and memorable characters. I love this series so much so I admit, I was scared to read the final book and this is for two reasons one) I did not want the series to end! We all know how it is, it is so devastating when one of your favorite book series come to an end so that is why I was so scared to end this series because I just can’t imagine not reading any more books in this series! Reason 2) I was worried about the conclusion because I wanted it to be perfect. We all know how this is also! How disappointing it can be when the final book is terrible, personally I felt this with the Divergent series, the last book really did disappoint me and that affected my thoughts on the other two books. However! My point is that I was scared but I am so happy to say that the conclusion to this series was perfect! I love where the author of the novel Leslie Georgeson took the story and I feel so happy with the conclusion so this is such a relief! It is an exceptional read that you will not be disappointed with!
Once again we are reunited with Maddy and Ethan and Maddy has finally agreed to take Ethan to the mountain so that he can fulfill his important role. However, this is more complicated than you may think as it becomes a challenge that is dangerous and full of many obstacles and this is all happening whilst Ronan is healing much faster than expected. There is so much depth in this novel and I adored that, the story takes the reader on an epic journey that is memorable and thrilling; I adored how Maddy appears to be tough but really she is madly in love with Ethan. This was lovely to read and I adored reading their journey.
The story of Unseen is thrilling and exciting the whole way through; never once did I get bored reading this exceptional tale, it captivated me from the very beginning and once again I fell madly in love with the story, hard and fast just like I did with Exiled and Drifter. The paranormal aspects in this novel were once again enthralling, Leslie Georgeson, the author of the novel does not disappoint, she perfectly describes the paranormal parts in the book, so much so that you read in bewilderment so I really am in awe of Leslie and her incredible writing!
One thing I loved about this story was seeing how the protagonist of the novel, Ethan, has changed throughout the series. He used to be a nasty man actually, very selfish and he was this way for a long time but the fact that he has been on his deathbed more than a few times now means that he has changed a bit, well, I felt like he has! This was really beautiful to see and I loved reading about Maddy and her admiration for him.
Leslie Georgeson is a talented, well-accomplished author who knows how to write a gripping story. She perfectly captures the reader’s attention with her beautifully descriptive writing and she keeps them hooked with her flawless characters who make the reader invested in the story; this was all certainly the case for me! Her characters are once again phenomenal, they really were wonderful and they made me want to devour this book (along with Georgeson’s brilliant writing!). The thing I loved most about her characters is that they are believable, they are not perfect and they certainly are not special… they are all characters who have experienced hardship and this makes them deeply humane. I love reading novels with characters are this way, it is a hard balance to strike for writers but Georgeson manages to do this perfectly. She is a talented author who has wonderful things ahead of her, I truly am excited about her future because her work is great and I really do believe in her writing; I do not know her but what I do know is that her writing is exceptional and as a reader I love to get behind writers who have a real talent and Leslie Georgeson certainly does!
To summarize my thoughts on the incredible novel that is Unseen I would say if you are looking for an exciting, thrilling tale that will entertain and keep you compelled until the end then read this series, starting with Exiled because you will not be disappointed! This wonderful book gets Five Stars from me!
