A lost kitten searches for her owner in the desert. She becomes frightened when she realizes she has run out of the water and won’t make it home to her person without it. She doesn’t know which way to go to reach the water, and she has no way of finding it on her own.
Alone and scared, the kitten meets three seemingly vile creatures along with her journey. She is no longer alone in her search, as the creatures help her to find water so she can make it back to where she belongs.
Join this brave kitten and her new friends as they trek through the scary desert, filled with mischievous creatures and unfavorable obstacles. Will she make it back to her person?
The Adventures of Kit Kat is a beautiful, timeless, engrossing children’s book that my four-year-old girl and the six-year-old boy loved! They adored this book so much, the illustrations, as well as the story, is exceptional and this is all thanks to the books incredible author Dawn Cherie Walker.
The Adventures of Kit Kat tells the story of an adorable kitten who gets lost from her owner in the desert. Soon, she will have to follow her instincts and follow all kinds of different animals, such as birds and insects so that she can find her way back to her own. On her journey she makes friends and learns new things, it makes for a beautiful story about friendship, and it is a book any parent would be happy for their children to read.
This story is a story that can quickly be followed by your children, I would personally recommend this story from the ages of 3 – 11, but it could be read at two also! It is an exciting story that my children enjoyed, and it teaches them about empathy which is very important for me as a mother. It is an easy to follow story, and my children did not get lost once, it can be read in one sitting too as it is not overwhelmingly long, plus, the illustrations within this book make you want to read it until the very end! They merely are stunning, and I am considering framing the cover to go in my children’s room… that is how much they love this beautiful, adventure-filled story!
Dawn Walker, the author of this genius children’s book, has done a fantastic job with providing an underlining message to the story. She underlines themes of the importance of being open-minded as well as the importance of diversity. These are two qualities I am more than happy for my children to learn. They are thought-provoking, and I have already seen that my eldest children are more emphatic to our doggies, so it just shows you that Walker is a talent for inspiring young children!
To conclude my thoughts on this charming children’s book I would say if you are looking for the perfect children’s book in time for Christmas then this stunning book is for you! Your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends children… all children will adore this book! So I implore all of you lovely readers to buy this. This enchanting book gets Five Stars from me!
