Ancient Illumination, Rod Van Blake

Ancient Illumination by [Van Blake, Rod]

During the days of the Cro-Magnon, beings of pure light came to Earth to make an attempt at enlightening man. One member of this ancient race felt that the humanoids on Earth were entirely too ignorant and philosophically handicapped to ever truly grasp their teachings. Acting on these feelings, this being thought his time would be better spent experimenting with them instead.
When the Counsel of Twelve found out what one of their own had been doing, they charged him with crimes against an innocent society who had not had the time to properly develop. They left Earth but exiled the culprit, while taking away his ability to transform into his pure light form which subsequently stops him from leaving the planet. He is tasked with helping the people he wronged evolve and grow. The original Pharaoh does just that, but not in the way the counsel intended. Man mutates into various groups of people: the Kison Tontu or stone people, Limbia Johari – the walking jewels, the Ongakujin, and many more.
At the advice of Babylon, a blue-skinned Atlantian, Jared Omega is tasked with uniting humanity, in all their new forms, to confront Pharaoh in an effort to stop what has become galaxy wide bloodshed.

Ancient Illumination is a gripping tale that will engage you from the very first page to the very last page, this book is an all-consuming assault of brilliance where the action and tension of the story does not let up once, there is a feeling of anxiety when you read this book because you so desperately want to reach the end of the novel and find that everything will be ok! It really is that type of novel that grips you instantly and takes you hostage, it is a fascinating book about an ancient civilization which is the perfect read for all science fiction fans of fledgling science fiction fans!

Ancient Illumination is a book that was unputdownable; I found this novel to be so phenomenal that I pined for it every second of my day, it has everything a great, thrilling piece of literature should have and more, it has engrossing literature, riveting plot devices and let’s not forget brilliant characters who will stay with the reader for a long time. Rod Van Blake, the author of the novel, can only describe as a wordsmith extraordinaire, his words were fluent and electric so already, I would that you lovely readers read this wonderful book!

The synopsis of Ancient Illumination is gripping, glorious and let’s not forget breath-taking. Ancient Illumination is a book with a lot happening, in other words, it has many plot avenues but they all lead to a great, overall thrilling story which is simply magnificent. Ancient civilizations are at the core of this story, however, I do not want to write more than this as this is a book that can be easily spoiled and I do not want this so you will just have to read this book to find out all about this book!  What I will say is that the synopsis of the novel takes you hostage very early on and the only way to escape its clutches is to fully immerse yourself in the novel’s layers upon layers of brilliance and excellence.

Ancient Illumination is a thrilling book that takes the reader on an incredible journey throughout the galaxy; I adored how the reader is whisked away on this journey almost instantly, it was wonderful and I adored how we got to be a part of righting the wrongs of the past, it made it even more of an exceptional read. Besides, this novel has villains, brilliant twists to keep you enthralled and entertained beginning to end and a futuristic, cleverly thought out science book… how can this book not be an exceptional read?

Rod Van Blake, the author of Ancient Illumination can only be described as the master of space author who clearly knows what he is doing with his brilliant, thought-provoking science fiction tale. His words were electric and they sparked right off the page which sparked my interest, even more, he excited and enthralled me without force and I adored this. There is nothing worse than reading a science fiction novel which is a drag which is also full of too many words and complicated plots so it is a real relief to read a book from an author who is clearly a huge, passionate fan of the science fiction genre and who knows how to write a brilliant tale!

To conclude my thoughts on Ancient Illumination I would write; if you are a fan of science fiction but find that the books you have been reading of late are boring and not exciting or even remotely thrilling then take a chance with the brilliant Ancient Illumination… you will not be disappointed! This wonderful novel gets Five Stars from me!
