Let Audrey Maloney-Vangen whisk your imagination away to beautiful beaches, violent storms, snowy lands, and the Rocky Mountains in this collection of personal and vibrant poetry.
Audrey takes her readers on an adventure through a retelling of her childhood in her native country of Trinidad, her travels in Canada, and her holiday in breathtaking Venice.
For all her happy memories, Audrey also adds a very special personal touch to each poem, and her heart-warming love story of how she met her husband, her relationship with God, and the loss of her daughter all culminate in a collection bursting with raw emotion.
This collection can open your eyes to a vast world of culture, as well as a few life lessons in love, loss, and happiness.
What makes this book unique? Like her book cover photo, Audrey has attached personal photos at the end of many poems, which she took herself, in order to give her readers a visual treat, that captures the moods in her poetry topics.

A Bit Of Splendid Things, explores love, joy and sadly the loss of Shanice Audrey’s daughter who had Cancer at age 18 . It is an incredible book, and I think it deserves to be read by everyone!
Audrey expresses beauty these writings, her poems are telling. I always measure my likeness to a book to whether I check the page number, if I do, then it means the book is dragging and if I don’t then it means that the book is engrossing. That is why I am so happy to write, that I did not look at the page number of this book once! It was absorbing, as well as captivating, I did not want to put this book down, and when I had to, I was sad because it really is that special. Audrey is a pure talent, and if you are looking for a stunning poetry book that takes you on an adventure then this book is for you!
