Witchery is an exceptional fantasy tale with a twist that bewitched me from the very beginning to the very end. Early on I found myself enchanted by Witchery and this is thanks to the breath-taking, adrenaline-packed scenes and the enticing narrative that had me hooked! From the start, I realized that Witchery is an incredible novel that is going to entertain me from the beginning and now that I have finished the book I can happily write that Witchery did! From the start, I found myself captivated by the rich text and the phenomenal characterization of characters and so I already have to recommend this book to you lovely readers, but if you need more convincing then read the rest of my review to learn more about this dazzling gem of a read!

Witchery follows the protagonist of the novel, Teyla, a young woman who from the start of the story has experienced a great deal. Teyla is a witch, but she is not well-accomplished… yet! Teyla needs to master her abilities and craft all while pursuing a deadly quest. The reader will follow Teyla on her journey to not only discover her talents but to also help those that are close to her and her land from a deadly demon that stalks the land and kills innocents. The journey the reader is taken on is terrifying as well as thrilling, and if you love to be taken on a roller coaster journey, then Witchery is a book you should not miss.

The story of Witchery shocked me all the way through thanks to the unpredictable plot and exceptional twist and turns. As I began to read the novel I knew that the story would be no dull read because straight away the excellent author Fred Waiss thrusts the reader into the thick of the story and immerses them in an exceptionally well developed, drama-filled story which is what I love in a read!

Fred Waiss is the author of Witchery, and I have to confess that I am madly in love with his literature and the story he has created in Witchery. Never before have I been so entertained so quickly and this is thanks to Waiss’s well-developed plot, phenomenal characterization and of course captivating writing that had me turning the pages with haste. Waiss’s characterization of Teyla, in particular, was exceptional, I loved following her on her journey, I loved witnessing her grow, change and develop; the way Waiss wrote about her was almost like a character study which I loved! From the start, the reader will be able to easily root for her, and I love that quality in a book.

Overall Witchery, is an unforgettable, captivating and bewitching novel that will delight and entertain readers from the start to the end and so I have to award the book five stars! If you are a reader who loves fantasy and witch based books, then read Witchery because you will not regret it!

First, Aimee, thank you for the outstanding review. I knew the book was good, but you really leave no doubts.
Although published in 2016, I wrote most of it in 1990. While I was teaching high school English I would occasionally do the assignment I gave my students. In this instance the assignment was to describe a fictional person in a fictional place.
I described a young woman with long red hair riding a coal-black horse through a forest. She was a witch. Assignment complete.
Not too long afterward I began to wonder about the purpose of the young witch’s journey. Eventually that scene, modified, appears in Chapter 2.
After writing it and getting multiple rejections, I realized changes were required. But I put it aside for many years. Finally, I was able to make the changes, and…ta-da!
Again, my thanks to Aimee for this great review.
