Bridget’s passion is to help people learn to live freely in Jesus. She feels that Christians who have been set free, still live as though they are trapped. And her calling is to motivate Christians to break out of those chains. Bridget knows that she needs a whole lot of grace from Jesus, every single day. And she encourages others to find that grace as well.
Bridget loves reading in her spare time, and is a fan of classic literature. She enjoys traveling, crocheting, and watching college baseball and softball games. And she is particularly fond of looking for black bears in the Great Smoky Mountains. Bridget lives in Florida with her husband.

“Every Day is a Gift” is a thirty day Christian devotional on gratitude. On one particular day, I was having a bad morning. Nothing major. Just a lot of little things that went wrong. By the end of the day, I was ready to go home and forget all about the multitude of mishaps. But I felt like God was asking me an important question: “Will you give thanks during the rough times?” I knew I had definitely not given thanks that morning. And I wanted to have a better attitude in both the good times and the bad. So I started a gratitude challenge. I walked through this on my own at first. Then I ventured out and shared it with others. And the response was so great that I turned it into this book. What I hope readers will get out of this book is that Every Day is a Gift, just as the title says. Even when we have bad days, there are still so many good things in our life that we can be thankful for.
Don’t give up hope! I always wanted to write, for as long as I could remember. But this dream seemed far fetched and hard to reach. There were many times when I gave up and called it quits. But God never gave up on me, even when I gave up on myself. Keep writing, every day. Keep pursuing your dream. The more you persevere, the more confidence you will gain, and the stronger you will become. One awesome thing about today’s market is that you can self-publish your book. You don’t have to really on a publishing company anymore. That is what I did. There is a lot to learn about this process. On my website I have a link for the resource that I used to learn how to go about self-publishing:
Wow. This is a tough one. I think there are many things that come into play. They say not to judge a book by its cover. But the reality is that many people do just that. So an appealing cover design is important. The beginning of a book is also key, as this helps grab the reader’s attention. But I suppose what trumps both of those is heart. Was the writer’s heart portrayed in the book? And did the writer grab the reader’s heart as well?
I am currently working on another book, “The Redeemed Way.” In this book I will explore our true identity in Jesus. But I don’t have a set publication date just yet, so stay tuned!
