One plane crash.
One extraordinary faith.
One million lies.

When a group of professionals embark on a networking ski trip to Salzburg but their plane crashes into treacherous Austrian back country, nothing has prepared them for what they’ll face as they fight for humanity’s basic instinct: survival.

Left to raise her three younger siblings at just seventeen, Nina Bishop is accustomed to solving problems. Now that she and two friends run their own law firm, she gets paid for solving other people’s problems. And as a businesswoman, she can always smell a great opportunity. So when their biggest client, Parker Drayton, organizes a networking ski trip to Salzburg, Austria, she is the first to board the plane. There’s only one drawback: Parker is bringing along his two notoriously difficult, grown-up sons, Justin and Hugh.

Even before take-off the tension between Parker and his sons is palpable. But when Hugh causes them to crash, plunging them all into unforgiving back country, the networking trip goes from tension-filled journey to living nightmare…

Spiral is the first book in the compelling Salzburg Saga Trilogy.

Spiral is book one in The Salzburg Saga written by D.U. Okonkwo and what a stellar start to the trilogy!  When I read the description of Spiral, I knew instantly that I had to read the novel especially because I adore stories that feature a plane crash and then survival. A long time ago now I read and reviewed a book called Before I Fall and this is a book about a plane crash and the survivors having to survive the elements as well as from each other. The book was incredible so when I discovered Spiral and noticed similarities between the two stories I knew I had to read it and share it with you lovely readers. Spiral is a novel that will be keeping readers shocked as well as entertained from the get-go; it is the perfect, twisty-turny thriller that is going to make readers lose a lot of sleep! That is not a bad thing though, I personally love books that keep me up all night and the cliffhanger at the end of book one kept me up! Yes book lovers, a cliffhanger does feature at the end of Spiral and although it is frustrating it is not for long because book two called Torn is already released and book three is available for preorder and will be released in August, so you have plenty of time to read the first two books before the finale is published in August! My point is that Spiral really will keep its readers enthralled with its twists and turns and so if you are looking to get lost in a new style of a thriller then Spiral is for you but if you need more convincing then continue to read to learn more about this captivating book!

Spiral is a novel that features nonstop tension, so much so that as you turn the pages you will feel as if the plot can’t become any more intense but it does, and this is thanks to the author’s excellent story development. Spiral is a novel with many layers and will introduce the reader to a host of characters however the star of the novel is undoubtedly Nina Bishop, a young and successful lawyer. Book one in The Salzburg Saga is mostly about the events before and during and the immediate events after the crash, and so before the crash, the reader learns a lot about Nina and her life. Nina has had what some would say a challenging life because she has raised her three younger siblings all by herself, but this has not stopped her from succeeding in life. In fact, Nina is actually a successful lawyer who runs her own law firm with her two friends. One day Nina takes on a wealthy and notorious client – Parker Drayton – and Parker has organized a networking trip to Austria, and he wants Nina as well as her two law partners to accompany him and his two older but difficult children, Justin and Hugh.

Everything at first is running smoothly, but soon it turns disastrous when Hugh causes the plane to crash. The plane crashes but they survive but now they all find themselves in a deadly situation in the mountains of Austria. What follows next is a twisty, turny, unraveling of secrets that will reveal many shocking truths and this book lovers is the premise of the remarkable novel that is Spiral.
